Fédération des familles souches du Québec

The Fédération des familles souches du Québec or FFSQ is a "non-profit organization dedicated to giving a unified voice to Québec’s family associations. It defends their collective interests before private and public authorities" amongst other goals. They offer a newsletter, library, and links to all their member family associations, like the Association des Gauthier d'Amérique Inc. which is how I learned about the group and all they have to offer.

Research is most easily done through their links and publications in French, so if you need some help with translation, don't forget the online translation (machine translation only) available at Google translate.

Hi Everyone!

I'm back from a bit of a self-imposed sabbatical, and I have some new resources to share with you! I'll put them out one at a time just so that something that might be important to you doesn't gets buried!

Ontario Mennonite, Amish and Brethren in Christ family history now has a home online at the Ezra Eby Revived! site. As the site explains,
In 1895-1896, Ezra E. Eby [1850-1901] published a 2 volume works entitled "A Biographical History of Waterloo Township". This website not only shows the pioneers found in the original "Eby books", but also many of their numerous descendants.

The site welcomes additions and corrections and offers a basic search based on name, in addition to access to the text if you don't own a copy of the text itself.
